B.A., University of Maine (Farmington) Tim Byram has served as Head Coach of both the Men's and Women's Volleyball Programs at Endicott since the 1999-2000 season. Over his eight seasons as a women's coach, Byram's programs have enjoyed both team and individual successes. Under Byram's helm, the teams have compiled an overall record of 158 - 110 (.590) and a conference record of 47 - 16 (.746). The teams have made eight straight playoff appearances, claiming one Conference Championship and making back to back postseason appearances in the NCAA (04) and ECAC (05) tournaments. His players have combined to earn numerous Player or Rookie of the Week Honors, 2 Conference Rookie of the Year Honors, 1 Conference Player of the Year, 22 All-Conference Team members, 2 AVCA All-Region and 1 Second Team All-American Honors. In 2005, his Endicott squad made their second consecutive appearance in the Commonwealth Coast Conference Finals. The Gulls posted an overall record of 23 - 16 and were chosen for the ECAC Championships for the first time. Over the four seasons of this senior class, the program set new records for both wins (82) and consecutive wins (22) and made the programs first two post season appearances. In six seasons as a men's coach at Endicott, his teams have amassed an overall record of 88 - 81 (.521) and a conference record of 62 - 28 (.689). His teams have made three playoff appearances in the NECVA Championships and qualified for post-season play in the ECAC Championships in 2004 & 2005. His players have combined to earn 12 Player or Rookie of the Week Honors, 1 NECVA New England Player of the Year, 1 NECVA New England Libero of the Year, 1 NECVA New England Rookie of the Year, 11 All-Conference Team members and 2 AVCA Second Team All-American and 1 AVCA First Team All-American Honors. During the 2006 season the team a young but talented squad finished the season with a 5-5 record in NECVA New England play and 12-19 overall. The team was 1-4 vs. Division 1 and 2 schools with a win over Sacred Heart. The freshman class picked up numerous honors with Dan Coleman and Clay Ostrander both earning NECVA New England and NECVA Rookie of the week honors. In addition, Ostrander was named to the All New England first team and Coleman was named the New England Rookie of the year while also earning All New England first team honors. Coleman also became the first player in the programs brief history to earn AVCA First Team All-American honors. A 1994 graduate of the University of Maine-Farmington, Byram earned MAC and NAIA Regional Coach of the Year honors while coaching the Beavers as a senior. As an assistant at St. Joseph's College in 1996-97, he helped the Monks capture their first-ever Maine Athletic Conference title. In 1999, serving as the Interim Head Coach at Bates College, Byram led the Bobcats to a 33-6 record and an ECAC Championship. Coach Byram has 14 seasons of head coaching experience between Women's and Men's Volleyball at the college level. Coach Byram has been an active volleyball player throughout New England. Serving as an assistant coach, his regional club teams have won multiple regional championships and competed at the national championships three times. Byram has also been honored by being named the Head Coach of the 2002 - 2005 New England Youth High Performance Teams. In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Coach Byram also runs a NIKE Volleyball Camp each summer and serves as the Transportation and Compliance Coordinator for the Endicott Athletic Department. Byram also serves on several boards and committee's. On the women's side he is an active member of both the AVCA (All-Region Committee) and the New England Women's Volleyball Association. On the men's side he is on the executive board of the North East Collegiate Volleyball Association as the New England Representative and participates with the AVCA as both a poll voter for the AVCA top 15 ranking and the All-American Committee. Coach Byram resides with his wife Karen and their two sons, Tyler and Peter in North Andover, MA.
